The Duke of Kent presents Queens Awards

His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent, who served as the UK’s special representative for international trade, presented awards on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen. As part of his trip to Kirklees, His Royal Highness also visited two new complexes – one at Greenhead College and the second at the Woodland Court community housing complex.


British Empire Medal presentations

The prestigious British Empire Medal (BEM) was presented to deserving members of the public by Dr Ingrid Roscoe, the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire. Dr Roscoe also presented the award for British Imperial Service (ISM) to a member of the Territorial Army.
